Yesterday I went on a bit about Google Earth. It appeared that the guys at google opened up the sign-up to it for a while today as I managed to get it installed on my box at work (Yesterday I only got to see it on someone elses PC) and have a good old play with it; the UI is pretty intuitive and I really liked the ability to change the tilt of the view. Zooming around Hong Kong was really cool (damn, I miss that place), it’ll be even better when they add building 3D models to HK like they have to various US cities. I get back home this evening full of ideas of places to explore and what do I find? They’ve only gone and closed the sign up again!!! I guess I’m just not destined to have Google Earth working at home.

Talking of Hong Kong, the end of the month is coming and that means the end of my self-imposed exile from EBay. I wonder what interesting HK books I can find…
