You’re my favourite waste of time

I’ve finally succumbed and installed a trial of City of Heroes that Leon gave me. After a bit of a faff activating my trial account I’ve spent a good part of this evening testing it out. It’s rather good.. rather good indeed. Only problem is the occasional pausing due to my Vaio having a minscule amount of RAM.. not that I can do much about that seing that the extra memory slot is knackered. I have to say that the character generation system is very good, it’s very easy to create a character that has an individual look.. I’ll have to see if I can get a couple of screen grabs of my first hero, Dr Anarchy, I’m quite pleased with how he turned out.

My quest to get Google Earth working continues.. My other half managed to install it sucessfully this morning whilst I was a work. When I get home it was the usual story of no downloads or sign-ups..

I’ve started reading Ash Wednesday by Ethan Hawke again. I don’t know why I stopped reading it half way through last year because it’s a very good book that holds my interest. I guess it’s one of the hazards of reading several books concurrently, sometimes one of them falls through the cracks.. It’s just a shame I let this little gem tumble. Don’t dismiss it because it’s written by a Hollywood actor, Ethan Hawke is actually a very good writer and has a definite knack for writing believable dialogue, something that so few writers even really master.
