It would seem that muxtape.com has finally succumbed to the might of the RIAA. Shame that, I kinda liked it’s simple, no frills approach.

Caught Black Kids doing an instore at HMV today totally by accident while trying to get some of this week’s vinyl quota. Pretty good band if you can get past all the hype they’ve been getting, which will probably destroy them. A short set of course but it was most enjoyable despite it interfering with my retail therapy which included a lovely 12″ of insanely good We Are Scientists electro remixes, a Dead Kennedys 7″ and Blank & Jones/Bernard Sumner 7″ (more on these guys in another post i think)

Currently enjoying Frankmusik very much at the moment, cheesy 80’s style electro but I love it. Have a tune :

So I managed to turn up to Johnny Foreigner and Dananananaykroyd last night at The Proud Galleries, Camden (unlike Monday and The Weakerthans, oops). We got there a bit late and missed Tubelord, who were very good so I’m told. Awesome gig, plenty of energy from both bands and some cracking music. Good stuff. Shame the crowd was a little on the static side. But never mind I had a great old time dancing like an idiot and buying some lovely merch.

My Eee-PC 900 turned up yesterday as well, I’ve been trying it out at work this morning and i’m very impressed. I think i’ll give it a full review at the weekend. It’s so dinky and cute… ahh.

But Not This One…

Going to see Johnny Foreigner later this week. Getting excited.

Recovering from an excellent London Web Week at the moment. I don’t think I’ve drunk as much since I was a student, also probably learnt more in a single week than at any time since I was a student (I’m even trying to learn a bit of Erlang, crazy talk I know!). A full report along with gubbins from the Spiritualized and Broken Social Scene/The Brunettes gigs I attended the week before will be forthcoming once I get some free time.
